Regular Season Round 10: Hoverla - Dnipro 69-67

Important game to mention about took place in Frankivsk. Ninth ranked Hoverla (3-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Dnipro (5-4) 69-67 on Friday evening. Dnipro was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-17 charge of Hoverla, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dnipro to just 7 points in first quarter. Hoverla looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard Mackey McKnight (183, college: Lehigh, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 assists. The other American import forward Ricardo Glenn (203-90, college: USC Upstate, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International Olexandr Mishula (192-92) replied with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Dnipro. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Hoverla moved-up to eighth place, which they share with BC Odessa. Loser Dnipro keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Hoverla will face bottom-ranked DniproAzot (#11) in Dniprodzerzhynsk in the next round. Dnipro will play on the road against Halychyna (#10) in Lviv and hope to win that game.
