Regular Season Round 8: Stevnsgade - Aabyhoj 71-63

Date: November 22, 2014
Very expected game when 7th ranked Aabyhoj (1-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Stevnsgade (5-1) 71-63. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-12. But Aabyhoj won second period 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stevnsgade made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and swingman Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) supported her with 22 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Even 21 points by American point guard Nicole Ballestero (173-92, college: Vanguard) did not help to save the game for Aabyhoj. Forward Kia Fisker (185-95) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Stevnsgade moved-up to second place. Aabyhoj at the other side stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Stevnsgade will play against league's leader Lemvig on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aabyhoj will play against Falcon (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
