Date: November 22, 2014
Meliksah (#11) forced the game against Denizli (#5) into an overtime, but lost by one point 90-91. The game took place in Kayseri. But the guests from Pamukkale were better at the end. Meliksah was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 26-21 third quarter run of Denizli. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-10. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and forward Mehmet Ozdogan (198-87) supported him with 16 points. Denizli's coach Okan Cevik allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American point guard Leemire Goldwire (182-85, college: Charlotte, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Meliksah. Forward Salih Ugrasan (201-83) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Five Denizli and four Meliksah players scored in double figures. Denizli (6-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gediz. Meliksah lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Final Genclik and Pertevniyal. Denizli will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Meliksah will play on the road against Gelisim (#9) in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
