Undefeated leader Steaua CSM delivered the seventh consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Timba Timosoara (2-6) 86-80 in Timisoara. Timba Timosoara was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 30-23 charge of Steaua CSM, which allowed them to win the game. They made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. 31 personal fouls committed by Timba Timosoara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
