Regular Season Round 4: Zaporozhye - Kyiv-Vovcha 102-91

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Zaporozhye (5-1) beat at home 6th ranked Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya (1-5) 102-91 on Sunday. Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 29-17 charge of Zaporozhye, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Zaporozhye outrebounded Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya 45-32 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for point guard Maksim Terianik (183-95) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Vitaliy Bykov (190-96) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Pavel Lebedintsev (196-96) replied with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and guard Anton Musienko (190-97) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zaporozhye have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Zaporozhye maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Avangard. Loser Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya keeps the sixth place with five games lost. Zaporozhye will face Dnipro-DVUFK (#6) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round.
