Regular Season Round 9: Viernheim - Muenchen B. 84-48

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Muenchen B. (1-8) was outleveled by ninth ranked TSV Amicitia (3-6) in Viernheim 84-48 on Sunday. The game without a history. TSV Amicitia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Muenchen B.'s 32. TSV Amicitia forced 19 Muenchen B. turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Canadian center Diane Schuetze (190-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Jennifer Mocanu (172) contributed with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four TSV Amicitia players scored in double figures. TSV Amicitia's coach Adrian Crawford felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ann-Kathrin Neumann (175) answered with 9 points and 9 rebounds and forward Sibylle Wessels (185-88) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Muenchen B.TSV Amicitia maintains ninth place in South with 3-6 record. Newly promoted Muenchen B. keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. TSV Amicitia will face league's leader Gruner Stern Keltern at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Muenchen B. will play against Trier (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
