Undefeated leader Utena delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Ruta-Univ. (0-11) 89-53. The game without a history. Utena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 25 Ruta-Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 51-29 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Rita Zilinskaite (175-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. The former international Egle Sulciute (190-85) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Silvija Kuodiene (180-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Belarusian center Nadzeya Bohdan (187-93) added 11 points in the effort for Ruta-Univ.Utena (11-0) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Ruta-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Utena will play against Jaunieji Talentai (#7) in Vilnius in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ruta-Univ. will have a break next round.
