Regular Season Round 10: Dragons - Saarlouis 89-62

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (6-4) outleveled at home 11th ranked Saarlouis (2-8) 89-62 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Saarlouis' 44. American center Theron Laudermill (200-89, college: CS San Bernar.) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Forward Fabian Thuelig (199-89) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Laudermill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Ricky Easterling (188-83, college: Bridgewater) produced 15 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import Karl Moore (203-87, college: Culver Stockton, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf moved-up to fourth place in Group South, which they share with Karlsruhe and Weissenhorn. Saarlouis lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face Weissenhorn Youngstars (#6) on the road in the next round. Saarlouis will play against TV Langen (#8) and hope to win that game.
