Proliga top team - FC Porto Ferpinta (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Atletico (1-4) in Lisboa 76-51. The game was mostly controlled by FC Porto Ferpinta. Atletico was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Joao Grosso (196-94) notched 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Andre Bessa (179-89) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by forward Pedro Bagio (194-79) did not help to save the game for Atletico. The former international swingman Joao Manuel (192-79) added 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FC Porto Ferpinta have an impressive six-game winning streak. FC Porto Ferpinta maintains first position with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Atletico keeps the tenth place with four games lost. FC Porto Ferpinta will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
