NBL top team - Lukoil Acad. (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Chernomorets (1-6) in Sofia 101-52. The game without a history. Lukoil Acad. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Chernomorets to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Lukoil Acad. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 24. They outrebounded Chernomorets 45-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lukoil Acad. players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Chernomorets' players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lukoil Acad. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the eighth place with six games lost. Lukoil Acad. will play against Cherno More (#5) in Varna in the next round. Chernomorets will play at home against Beroe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
