Bottom-ranked Univ.Cluj is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to second ranked Pitesti (7-1) 91-70. The game without a history. Pitesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ronald Lovell Ross Jr stepped up and scored 31 points and 7 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners and Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points and 16 rebounds. Four Univ.Cluj players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Pitesti. They maintain second place with 7-1 record behind leader Steaua CSM. Univ.Cluj lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with nine games lost. Pitesti will play against Ploiesti (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Univ.Cluj will play against BC Timisoara (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
