Important game to mention about took place in Sakiai. Twelfth ranked Zanavykas (7-11) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 11th ranked Zalgiris II (7-11) 67-64 in the fight for the tenth place. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 28-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Zanavykas forced 19 Zalgiris II turnovers. Strangely Zalgiris II outrebounded Zanavykas 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) who scored 25 points. Forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Martynas Echodas (204-97) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Martynas Varnas (196-97) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Zanavykas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Silute and Zalgiris II. Zalgiris II lost fourth consecutive game. Zanavykas will face Vilniaus (#13) in Vilnius in the next round.
