A very close game took place in Langen between Rhein Main Baskets and Bad Aibling. Eleventh ranked Rhein Main Baskets (3-8) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked Bad Aibling (1-10). Rhein Main Baskets managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Jazmine Redmon (175, college: Gonzaga) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Nelli Dietrich (169-89) helped adding 15 points. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) responded with 32 points and 8 rebounds and forward Carla Bellscheidt (183-94) scored 14 points. Rhein Main Baskets moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Chemnitz and Marburg. Bad Aibling lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Rhein Main Baskets will meet at home higher ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bad Aibling will play against BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
