Regular Season Round 11: Brose Bask. - Ludwigsburg 65-59
Date: November 30, 2014
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Brose Baskets (7-3) beat 9th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-5) in Bamberg 65-59 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 39-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Brose Baskets made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. EnBW Ludwigsburg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Brose Baskets' coach Andrea Trinchieri used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kerron Johnson (185-90, college: Belmont) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Despite that victory Brose Baskets went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with MBC. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. Brose Baskets will have a break next round. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play at home against Walter Tigers (#17) and hope to win that game.
