Very important is a road loss of second ranked Zepter Vienna (10-4) against ninth ranked UBSC Graz (2-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Zepter Vienna was defeated by UBSC Graz in a tough game in Graz 76-82. It looked good early as Zepter Vienna took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then UBSC Graz took control winning next two quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) nailed 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Slovenian swingman Samo Grum (193-79) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). American forward Amin Stevens (201-90, college: Florida A&M) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Zepter Vienna in the defeat. Five Zepter Vienna players scored in double figures. UBSC Graz maintains ninth place with 2-11 record. Zepter Vienna at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. UBSC Graz will play against higher ranked Xion Dukes (#7) in Klosterneuburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zepter Vienna will play at home against the league's leader Gmunden Swans (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
