There was no surprise in Istanbul where 10th ranked Usak (3-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Anadolu Efes (6-2) 81-66 on Sunday. Usak was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Janning (197-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Croatian forward Dario Saric (204-94, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) produced 18 points and his fellow American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Darussafaka. Loser Usak dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Anadolu Efes will face Banvit BK (#8) in Balikesir in the next round where they are favorite. Usak will play at home against the league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker and hope to win that game.
