We should mention about the upset which took place in Ankara, where higher ranked Galatasaray (5-3) lost to thirteenth ranked Turk Telekom (3-5) in a road game 77-85. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Galatasaray won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Turk Telekom won last quarter 21-14. The winners were led by Serbian center Milovan Rakovic (208-85) who scored that evening 29 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Josh Carter (200-88, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 17 points. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by international Kerem Gonlum (208-77) did not help to save the game for Galatasaray. Serbian Zoran Erceg (210-85) added 12 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Turk Telekom moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be Istanbul BSB (#14) on the road where they are favorite. Galatasaray will play against Royal Hali (#13) and hope to win that game.
