Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Istanbul BSB (2-7) lost at home to ninth ranked Turk Telekom (4-5) 74-62. The game was mostly controlled by Turk Telekom. Istanbul BSB was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) who scored 5 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. American guard Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Turk Telekom maintains ninth place with 4-5 record, which they share with Usak. Istanbul BSB lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Turk Telekom's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara TED Kolejliler.
