Very predictable result when second ranked Sakarya BSB (8-2) won against 13th ranked Meliksah (3-7) in Kayseri 89-83 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sakarya BSB had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Quite impressive performance for LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. point guard Leemire Goldwire (182-85, college: Charlotte, agency: Two Points) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee services) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Meliksah. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Meliksah's coach Murat Askin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Buyukcekmece, which they share with Denizli. Meliksah lost sixth consecutive game. Meliksah at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Sakarya BSB will face Pertevniyal (#12) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Meliksah will play on the road against Mersin in Akdeniz and hope to win that game.
