No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (9-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Arkadia Lions (6-8) 91-73 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kapfenberg Bulls's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-17 extending their advantage to 18 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Arkadia Lions' 30. Kapfenberg Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international Filip Kramer (202-92) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) produced 16 points and 8 assists and international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls maintains fifth position with 9-5 record. Arkadia Lions lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will face Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#8) on the road in the next round. Arkadia Lions will play against Furstenfeld Panthers and hope to win that game.
