Regular Season Round 12: Fraport SKY - Braunschweig 84-72

Date: December 6, 2014
Everything could happen in Frankfurt at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners and 13th ranked Braunschweig had identical 4-7 record. This time Deutsche Bank Skyliners used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Braunschweig 84-72 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Braunschweig was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Deutsche Bank Skyliners shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Danilo Barthel (207-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and American guard Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Trent Lockett (196-90, college: Marquette) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron, agency: LUMANI 10.7) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Deutsche Bank Skyliners have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Braunschweig keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face higher ranked EWE Baskets (#3) in Oldenburg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Braunschweig will play at home against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
