Regular Season Round 12: Aistes-LSU - Kibirkstis-VICI 64-62

The most exciting game of round 12 in the LMKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Kibirkstis-VICI (7-5) to fourth ranked Aistes-LSU (7-5) 64-62 in the game for the third place. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 30-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for international power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds. Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ny Hammonds (165-92, college: Charlotte, agency: Two Points) replied with 16 points and forward Ieva Simkute (191-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kibirkstis-VICI. Aistes-LSU moved-up to third place, which they share with Fortuna and Kibirkstis-VICI. Aistes-LSU is looking forward to face league's second-placed Suduva in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kibirkstis-VICI's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vilnius Jaunieji Talentai.
