Regular Season Round 9: Usak - Fener.Ulker 78-69

TBL round 9 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker (7-2) against eleventh ranked Usak (4-5) 78-69 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Fenerbahce Ulker. Fenerbahce Ulker trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-78 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Serbian Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-92) added 15 points in the effort for Fenerbahce Ulker. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Usak moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Darussafaka who have the same record. Fenerbahce Ulker will play next round against Banvit BK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Usak will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Besiktas in Istanbul.
