Regular Season Round 15: UBSC Graz - Wels 67-87

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Raiffeisen Wels (11-4) crushed on the road 9th ranked UBSC Graz (2-13) 87-67 on Monday. The game without a history. Raiffeisen Wels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 38. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Nolan Richardson (188-84, college: Midwestern St.) came up with 15 points and the former international point guard Sebastian Schaal (189-90) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for UBSC Graz in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Raiffeisen Wels have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Zepter Vienna. Loser UBSC Graz keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Raiffeisen Wels will meet at home Gmunden Swans (#4) in the next round. UBSC Graz will play against Kapfenberg Bulls (#5) and hope to secure a win.
