The game in Timisoara was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked ICIM Arad (11-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Timisoara (7-8). ICIM Arad did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 82-65. It looked good early as Timisoara took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then ICIM Arad had a 28-17 second period charge getting the lead and Timisoara was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-82. ICIM Arad forced 27 Timisoara turnovers. Strangely Timisoara outrebounded ICIM Arad 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92, college: Marquette) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Monika Boriga (176-74) helped adding 21 points. Four ICIM Arad players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) with 20 points and Serbian guard Natasa Krnjetina (180-88) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. ICIM Arad maintains fourth place with 11-3 record. Timisoara lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Satu Mare and Brasov. ICIM Arad will play against league's leader Sf.Gheorghe in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timisoara will play on the road against Alexandria (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
