Regular Season Round 11: CSU Sibiu - Craiova 75-61

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Craiova (4-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked CSU Sibiu (6-5) 75-61. The game was mostly controlled by CSU Sibiu. Craiova was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Craiova 44-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman LeRoy Hurd (202-80, college: UTSA) accounted for 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. American forward Travis Bureau (202-88, college: La-Lafayette, agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) added 15 points respectively for Craiova in the defeat. CSU Sibiu moved-up to fourth place. Craiova lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. CSU Sibiu's next round opponent will be higher ranked Pitesti (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Craiova will play against the league's leader Steaua CSM (#1) and hope to win that game.
