LMKL top team - Utena (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Kibirkstis-VICI (7-6) in Vilnius 81-57. The game without a history. Utena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Utena forced 22 Kibirkstis-VICI turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Sandra Linkeviciene (176-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The former international Egle Sulciute (190-85) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Utena players scored in double figures. Guard Egle Sniokaite (175-88) answered with 17 points and American guard Ny Hammonds (165-92, college: Charlotte, agency: Two Points) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kibirkstis-VICI. Utena have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Defending champion Kibirkstis-VICI dropped to the third position with six games lost. Utena's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Suduva in Marijampole and it will be for sure the game of the week.
