Rather predictable result when ninth ranked TSV Amicitia (4-7) beat on the road 12th ranked Trier (1-10) 75-65 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. TSV Amicitia outrebounded Trier 43-25 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Jennifer Mocanu (172-90) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Canadian center Diane Schuetze (190-90) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four TSV Amicitia players scored in double figures. Forward Leonie Edringer (182-95) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Johnette Walker (173-87, college: Radford) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. TSV Amicitia moved-up to eighth place in South. Newly promoted Trier keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. TSV Amicitia will face higher ranked BasCats Heidelberg (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trier will play against Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (#3) and hope to win that game.
