Regular Season Round 13: Suduva - Aistes-LSU 100-51

The game between Top Four teams took place in Marijampole. Second ranked host Suduva (10-3) smashed 4th placed Aistes-LSU (7-6) 100-51. The game was mostly controlled by Suduva. Aistes-LSU managed to win fourth quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Suduva dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Aistes-LSU's 40 and made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. Suduva's coach Rimvydas Samulenas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Suduva have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Utena. Loser Aistes-LSU dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Fortuna and Kibirkstis-VICI. Suduva will meet league's leader Utena on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aistes-LSU will play against Fortuna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
