Regular Season Round 12: Bochum - Seawolves 81-67

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Seawolves (9-4) in Bochum on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked AstroStars (7-6) 81-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Seawolves. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AstroStars made 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of center Michael Haucke (210-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocks (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four AstroStars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jarrell Crayton (200-90, college: Mont.St.-Billings) with 8 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Spanish center Daniel Lopez (205-86) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Seawolves' coach Sebastian Wild rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AstroStars moved-up to third place in Group North, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Seawolves still keep top position with four games lost. AstroStars is looking forward to face league's second-placed DRUFF! in Braunschweig in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Seawolves will play on the road against Sixers in Sandersdorf and are hoping to win this game.
