Regular Season Round 10: Stevnsgade - Amager 54-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Stevnsgade between third ranked Stevnsgade (5-3) and fourth ranked Amager (4-5) on Saturday night. Stevnsgade was defeated by Amager at home 54-71. The game was mostly controlled by Amager. Stevnsgade managed to win third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Amager dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 20. Amager had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Maria Dinesen (170-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Forward Cecilie Homann (185-89) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Stevnsgade. Amager maintains fourth position with 4-5 record. Stevnsgade at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Amager are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Falcon (#7) at home in the next round. Stevnsgade will have a break next round.
