Regular Season Round 22: Delikatesas - Suduva-Mantinga 67-69

A very close game took place in Joniskis between Suduva-Mantinga and Delikatesas. Fourth ranked Suduva-Mantinga (14-8) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Delikatesas (11-11). Suduva-Mantinga managed to escape with a 2-point win 69-67 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Delikatesas won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Suduva-Mantinga forced 21 Delikatesas turnovers. Forward Paulius Petrilevicius (201-91) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tautvydas Kliucinykas (187-95) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Trakai and Petrochema. Delikatesas lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II and Nafta-Uni.. Suduva-Mantinga will meet Palanga (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Delikatesas will play against the league's second-placed Perlas-MRU (#2) and hope to secure a win.
