A very interesting game took place in Vechta. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (6-8) to seventh ranked SC Rasta Vechta (8-6) 72-69 on Saturday evening. BV Chemnitz 99 was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of SC Rasta Vechta, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Dennis Tinnon (203-88, college: Marshall) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 17 points. Four SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. point guard Virgil Matthews (188-83, college: Montana, agency: Court Side) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Stacy Wilson (190-90, college: Murray St.) added 17 points respectively for the guests. BV Chemnitz 99's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SC Rasta Vechta have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hamburg and Heidelberg. BV Chemnitz 99 at the other side dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. SC Rasta Vechta's next round opponent will be Hamburg (#7) on the road. BV Chemnitz 99 will play against Oettinger Rockets Gotha and hope to win that game.
