A very close game took place in Timisoara between Targu Mures and Timba Timosoara. Tenth ranked Targu Mures (4-6) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Timba Timosoara (2-9). Targu Mures managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Saturday evening. Timba Timosoara was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Five Timba Timosoara players scored in double figures. Targu Mures moved-up to ninth place, which they share with U-Banca TR and Craiova. Timba Timosoara lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Targu Mures will meet at home higher ranked CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timba Timosoara will play against Gaz Metan (#8) in Medias and hope to secure a win.
