Regular Season Round 12: Halle - Saarlouis 62-74

An interesting game for TV Saarlouis Royals (10-2) which played road game in Halle against 4th ranked SV Halle Lions (7-5). Second ranked TV Saarlouis Royals managed to get a 12-point victory 74-62. The game was mostly controlled by TV Saarlouis Royals. SV Halle Lions managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international guard Stina Barnert (173-89) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four TV Saarlouis Royals players scored in double figures. American point guard Jasmine Newsome (168-91, college: Tenn-Martin) replied with 21 points and Noemie Rouault (182-95) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for SV Halle Lions. TV Saarlouis Royals have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record having just two points less than leader Wasserburg. SV Halle Lions at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Donau-Ries and BG 89 Avides. TV Saarlouis Royals are looking forward to face Rhein Main Baskets (#10) in Langen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SV Halle Lions will play on the road against TH Wohnbau Angels (#5) in Noerdlingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
