Regular Season Round 10: Falcon - Lemvig 55-81

Dameligaen top team - Lemvig (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Falcon (2-7) 81-55. The game was mostly controlled by Lemvig. Falcon was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Falcon to just 7 points in third quarter. Lemvig shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American guard Joanna Miller (173-91, college: Grambling St.) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Helle Kristiansen (179-92) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Sarah Mortensen (183-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Falcon's coach Manuel Eugenio gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Lemvig have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Falcon lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. They share the position with Aabyhoj. Lemvig will play against league's second-placed Horsholm at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falcon will play against Amager (#4) in Kastrup and hopes to get back on the winning track.
