Regular Season Round 14: Bayreuth - Walter Tigers 85-70

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-8) beat at home 17th ranked Walter Tigers (3-11) 85-70. The game was mostly controlled by BBC Bayreuth. Walter Tigers was better in fourth quarter 28-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BBC Bayreuth players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Walter Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (184-87, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. BBC Bayreuth's coach Michael Koch allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Augustine Rubit (201-89, college: S.Alabama) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Serbian guard Branislav Ratkovica (192-85, agency: Beo Basket) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory BBC Bayreuth went down to tenth position due to points difference. Walter Tigers at the other side keep the seventeenth place with 11 games lost. BBC Bayreuth will have a break next round. Walter Tigers will play at home against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#12) and hope to win that game.
