Regular Season Round 12: CSU Sibiu - Pitesti 83-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Sibiu between third ranked Pitesti (8-3) and fourth ranked CSU Sibiu (7-5) on Friday night. Pitesti was defeated by CSU Sibiu in a tough game on the road 76-83. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Pitesti won third quarter 23-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Pitesti helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Serbian swingman Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 steals. American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and American point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech, agency: LUMANI 10.7) added 10 points and 10 assists in the effort for Pitesti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CSU Sibiu maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Pitesti at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. CSU Sibiu are looking forward to face BC Timisoara (#7) on the road in the next round. Pitesti will play against the league's leader Steaua CSM (#1) in Bucuresti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
