Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Rasai (10-13) defeated at home 13th ranked Vilniaus (4-17) 92-88 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-88. Rasai looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for center Karolis Guscikas (205-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) responded with 23 points and center Vitalijus Luksa (206-86) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rasai moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Zanavykas. Vilniaus lost thirteenth consecutive game. Vilniaus at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Rasai will face Zanavykas (#11) in Sakiai in the next round. Vilniaus will play at home against JAZZ-Diremta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
