Regular Season Round 9: Dnipro-DVUFK - Avantazh-Pol. 66-85

The game in Dnepropetrovsk was quite interesting. Fifth ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (8-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Dnipro-DVUFK (2-10). Avantazh-Politekhnik did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 53-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Avantazh-Politekhnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Timur Arabadgi (193-81) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Roman Kozlov (191-90) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four Avantazh-Politekhnik players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Yaroslav Tarapata (194-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Dmytro Chyvchy-Bashy (198-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Avantazh-Politekhnik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 8-6 record. Dnipro-DVUFK lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Avantazh-Politekhnik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dnipro-DVUFK will play on the road against VolinBasket (#6) in Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
