Regular Season Round 9: CAB Madeira - Sampaense 103-95

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Sampaense's (3-6) road loss to eighth ranked CAB Madeira (4-4) 95-103. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Sampaense won third quarter 29-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Tommie Eddie (201-82, college: Mississippi) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Jordan Aaron (178-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) accounted for 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Javarris Barnett (200-89, college: Charlotte, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 29 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Sampaense in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CAB Madeira moved-up to sixth place. Sampaense at the other side keeps the ninth position with six games lost. CAB Madeira's next round opponent will be Maia Basket (#7) on the road. Sampaense will play against the league's second-placed Vitoria SC and hope to win that game.
