Regular Season Round 14: Aistes-LSU - Fortuna 63-60

The most exciting game of round 14 in the LMKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Fortuna (7-7) to fourth ranked Aistes-LSU (8-6) 63-60 on Saturday evening. Fortuna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Lina Aglinskaite (182-87) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and international Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Fortuna's coach Ramune Kumpiene rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aistes-LSU moved-up to third place, which they share with Kibirkstis-VICI. Fortuna at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Aistes-LSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas.
