NBL top team - Haskovo 2012 (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Rilski Sportist (2-7) in Samokov 97-65. The game was mostly controlled by Haskovo 2012. Rilski Sportist was better in fourth quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Haskovo 2012 made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Haskovo 2012 outrebounded Rilski Sportist 45-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. American center Cierra Warren (193-91, college: San Diego St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists. Four Haskovo 2012 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Teodora Dineva (178-96) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and center Tsvetelina Nikolova (191-88) scored 15 points. Rilski Sportist's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Haskovo 2012 maintains first place with 9-1 record. Rilski Sportist at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Haskovo 2012 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
