Regular Season Round 13: BSW Sixers - Seawolves 64-65

A very close game took place in Sandersdorf between Seawolves and Sixers. First ranked Seawolves (10-4) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Sixers (6-8). Seawolves managed to escape with a 1-point win 65-64 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sixers. DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Danish center Jens Hakanowitz (204-80) chipped in 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the losing side Canadian point guard Tristan Blackwood (183-85) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Georg Doelle (198-85) scored 13 points. Newly promoted Seawolves maintains first place in Group North with 10-4 record. Sixers at the other side dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Oldenburg and Dresden. Seawolves will meet at home Itzehoe (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sixers will have a break next round.
