We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventeenth ranked Afyon (3-10) beat on the road 16th ranked ITU Istanbul (3-10) 94-90. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ITU Istanbul won fourth quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Afyon made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by ITU Istanbul helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) fired 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. The former international guard Firat Aydemir (187-80) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Onur Sonsirma (190-85, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four ITU Istanbul players scored in double figures. ITU Istanbul's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Afyon moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with I.T.U. and Istanbul DSI. ITU Istanbul lost their third game in a row. Afyon will have a break next round.
