Regular Season Round 13: Denizli - Istanbul DSI 69-52

Very predictable result when third ranked Denizli (11-2) won against 15th ranked Istanbul DSI (3-10) in Pamukkale 69-52. The game was mostly controlled by Denizli. Istanbul DSI was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Istanbul DSI 42-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Eren Beyaz (208-85) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Surinamese-Dutch guard Charlon Kloof (190-90, college: St.Bonaventure) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Barkin Haluk Cinar (193-83) added 7 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Denizli. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sakarya BSB. Istanbul DSI at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Denizli's next round opponent will be Adanaspor (#8) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Istanbul DSI will play against Gelisim (#7) and hope to win that game.
