A very interesting game took place in Gaziantep. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Usak (4-8) to fourteenth ranked Royal Hali (5-7) 84-81 on Wednesday evening. The hosts were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 26-21 run, which allowed them to win the game. Royal Hali made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Usak helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Slovenian swingman Domen Lorbek (198-85) who scored 20 points. Slovenian point guard Jaka Lakovic (186-78) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Usak players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Royal Hali moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Turk Telekom and TED Kolejliler. Usak lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Royal Hali's next round opponent will be higher ranked Banvit BK (#6) in Balikesir and it may be quite challenging game. Usak will play at home against Trabzonspor (#9) and hope to win that game.
