Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Yesilgiresun (6-7) defeated bottom-ranked Mersin (2-11) in Akdeniz 68-50. The game was mostly controlled by Yesilgiresun. Mersin was better in second period 15-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mersin to just 5 points in third and fourth quarters. Yesilgiresun forced 21 Mersin turnovers.
