The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of ALBA Berlin (14-1) in Bamberg on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Brose Baskets (12-3) 98-69. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. Brose Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Brose Baskets' coach Andrea Trinchieri felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Croatian power forward Leon Radosevic (208-90) with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Brose Baskets have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with B.Muenchen. ALBA Berlin at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Brose Baskets is looking forward to face BBC Bayreuth (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
