Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Artland Dragons (8-7) were defeated on the road by second ranked Bayern Muenchen (12-3) 91-75. The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. Artland Dragons was better in second period 29-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayern Muenchen made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Artland Dragons' players. It was a good game for naturalized Slovakian point guard Anton Gavel (189-84) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 7 assists. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. American guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Two Points) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and international point guard Bastian Doreth (182-89, agency: LUMANI 10.7) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Artland Dragons. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bayern Muenchen. Defending champion maintains second place with 12-3 record having just two points less than leader ALBA, which they share with Brose Bask. Artland Dragons lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Bayern Muenchen's next round opponent will be ratiopharm Ulm (#4) at home. Artland Dragons will play against Phoenix Hagen and hope to win that game.
